What makes a hot tub move cost more
Two moves down the same road can price differently, and this is why. None of it is a surprise — the estimator asks about each one, and we walk through it before you book.
Distance
We price by the real round trip our truck covers, so a move across town costs less than one across the state. It's the single biggest factor.
Number of steps
Every step is weight carried by hand. A flat, ground-level path is the easiest move there is. Six steps up to a raised deck is not.
Gate width
A three-foot side gate can mean pulling panels or taking the long way around the house. The tighter the opening, the more time and care it takes.
Slope & footing
A steep or soft yard slows the dolly and can add a crew member. Flat and firm is fast; a grade that runs above the house is not.
Distance to the truck
The farther your tub sits from where we can park, the more ground the crew covers on foot with it. A long carry across the yard adds time.
Whether a crane is needed
Most jobs that have to go up, we ramp — and that does not change your price. A crane is the exception, and it changes the whole job, so it is the one thing we never auto-price. We quote it by phone, up front.

We build a ramp and walk the tub up it. Second-story decks, balconies, raised patios — the jobs other movers look at and quote a crane for. Weight is what decides whether a ramp works, not height. When a job really does need a crane, you hear it from us before you pay a dollar, and we quote it with you over the phone. Some companies stay quiet, take the deposit, and hand you the crane bill on move day. We do not.
When a crane really is the answer
