Two moves down the same road can price differently, and this is why. None of it is a surprise — the estimator asks about each one, and we walk through it before you book.
Distance
We price by the real round trip our truck covers, so a move across town costs less than one across the state. It's the single biggest factor.
Number of steps
Every step is weight carried by hand. A flat, ground-level path is the easiest move there is. Six steps up to a raised deck is not.
Gate width
A three-foot side gate can mean pulling panels or taking the long way around the house. The tighter the opening, the more time and care it takes.
Slope & footing
A steep or soft yard slows the dolly and can add a crew member. Flat and firm is fast; a grade that runs above the house is not.
Distance to the truck
The farther your tub sits from where we can park, the more ground the crew covers on foot with it. A long carry across the yard adds time.
Whether a crane is needed
A crane changes the whole job. It's the one thing we never auto-price — we quote it by phone, up front, so there's no surprise on the driveway.

No — a full spa can weigh several tons and crack under its own weight. We drain and prep it first, move it safely, and you refill on the other side (or we add a start-up to the job).
Can you move a hot tub up or down stairs?
Yes. Stairs are one of the biggest things that change a move, so the estimator asks about them — your number reflects the real work, no surprises on move day.
Do I need a crane to move my hot tub?
Only when there's no ground-level path — a second-story deck, a fence or wall with no gate, or a lift up and over the house. If you do, we tell you before you pay a dollar and quote the crane with you by phone. It's never a surprise line.
How do professional hot tub movers move a hot tub?
Drained and prepped, over-padded and strapped to rigid spa dollies (crane-assist when access calls for it), driven to your new spot, and set down where you want it on the other end — then we clean up every scrap. Our first truck rolls at 7:00 AM. Your pad needs to be flat and level before we arrive. We do not shim a spa or put blocks under one, because that can void your warranty.
How much does it cost to move a swim spa or sauna?
Swim spas are longer and heavier, so they price a little higher per mile. Saunas and cold plunges move at our standard rate. Run yours through the estimator for a real number.
